Greyhound Racing Victoria’s 2023 Dream Chasers Series will again kick off with the Sportsbet Topgun Sprint and Topgun Stayers Invitational Races.

This is the chance for the racing elite to showcase their class ‘in form’ runners. In addition, making it a treble of Group 1s, The Meadows very own Hume Cup will also be run and won!

All the action is set to take place on Saturday November 11 as The Meadows gets lit up to host a spectactular night of world-class greyhound racing. There’s no doubt that trackside fences, terraces and the grandstand will be heaving as everyone hits the Meadows to DINE, CHEER & PARTY the night away.

2022 saw GRV launch the Dream Chasers Festival, a high octane five week racing series. 2023 will again put the spot light on the world’s richest greyhound racing series. Don’t miss the chance to be witness these three top-line Group 1 races and a brilliant night of racing entertainment.

Take a ride into the dangerzone and watch the Topgun from our most 'uber cool' space on track. 'The Flight Deck' at The Meadows sits right next the race start-boxes and is a 'happening' indoor and outdoor private entertaining area, with it's own bar and amenities. Package includes Grazing Food Platters and four hours of beverages, along with plenty of 'deck only' entertainment (and a few surprises we're keeping under our hat). Chase your Dream on Topgun night

Across each night of the 2023 Sportsbet Dream Chasers Festival, GRV are giving one lucky winner the chance to 'chase their dream' and share in over $100k in cash and prizes.

It’s free to enter and all you have to do is get along to 'The Meadows' and 'Sandown Park' and be on track for the draw.

If your name is drawn and your dog wins, you’ll select a box to reveal your prize, which could be a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander, return flights for 2 to Los Angeles with spending money and tickets to see the LA Lakers and LA Kings, $10k cash or a $5k fuel and grocery vouchers.

A history that's hard to top.

The Topgun, as the name suggests, is a search for the ‘gun’ sprinters and stayers in the nation. An invitational race, dogs are selected by a panel of experts see who reigns supreme. The first Topgun was run back in 1993 and has since seen champions El Grand Señor (2010), Buckle Up Wes (2014), Fernando Bale (2015), Up Hill Jill (2017) and Shima Shine (2020) salute in the 525m sprint.

The race was honoured as a Group 1 in 1999 and sees greyhounds race for a first prize of $150,000. Usually run in early November, this race lights up The Meadows crowd like no other race on the calendar. 2023 sees it again kick off the GRV Dream Chasers Series.
