Policy
Personal information held by MGRA is managed in accordance with the privacy principles contained in the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and as required by other legislative provisions.

Definitions
“Personal information is in general terms, any information that can be used to personally identify an individual.”

Information Collection
The MGRA will, from time to time, collect and use personal information. Personal Information has the meaning as provided for under the Act. The types of personal information collected and the purposes for which that personal information will be used will depend on the circumstances, but will always relate to the administration or operation of the MGRA or greyhound racing. Any person may seek access to personal information which the Club holds about that person and the Club will provide access to that information in accordance with the Act. There are certain exemptions which may apply to the provision of that information.

Information Disclosure, Retention And Security
MGRA will not disclose personal information of an individual to third parties except:
• where third parties appointed by MGRA require access to personal information held by MGRA to perform services (in which case MGRA requires these contractors to keep that personal information confidential in accordance with legal requirements and not to use or disclose it for any purpose other than the purpose of performing those services);
• where MGRA is required or authorised by law to disclose personal information, for example to law enforcement agencies;
• or with the individual’s consent.

The MGRA will take all reasonable steps to:
• protect all personal information held by it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure; and
• ensure that personal information held is accurate, complete and up-to-date; and
• ensure that information is not shared without the express or implied consent of the individual or for any other purpose set out under the Act.

Information Disclosure, Retention And Security
Any person may seek access to personal information which MGRA holds about that person and MGRA will provide access to that information in accordance with the Acts. There are certain exemptions which may apply to the provision of that information. MGRA may charge an administration fee for granting access to information.

Any questions or concerns about the Club’s collection, use or disclosure of personal information, should be directed towards the MGRA Chief Executive Officer.
