Ron Hawkswell, revered as one of the most iconic race callers in the sport’s history, has been a beloved figure in greyhound racing for over five decades. His distinctive tone and unwavering love for the dogs have left an indelible mark on generations of fans and participants alike.

The Ron Hawkswell Cup Final provided a thrilling 730-metre staying contest, with Mepunga Lara claiming the Listed feature for trainer Jeffrey Britton. Slick Nitro finished runner-up ahead of Derry in third.
