The Road to National Glory begins on Sunday

Australia’s fastest straight-trackers are set to converge on Healesville as the 2026 National Straight Track Series gets underway, with the nation’s premier straight-track venue once again taking centre stage.

Heats for the Victorian leg of the nationals series are set to kick off this Sunday, the 9th of August and are expected to be explosive with a blend of established straight track stars, horse-shoe rockets and two-turn weapons all having their crack at the title.

Victorian Heats: Sunday 9th August
Victorian Final: Sunday 16th August
National Final: Friday 28th August

The National final was last held at Healesville in 2023 where we saw the greatest straight tracker this writer has seen – Unleash Collinda – dominate the series to land the Victorian & National double.

2023 Nationals REPLAY

Unleash Collinda (3) lights up the straight to take out the 2023 G3 National Final

In recent years, it has been Mile A Minute who has flown the flag for Victoria, taking out the Nationals at Murray Bridge (2024) and Q Straight (2025). The old boy is expected to take his place in Sunday’s heats, can he light up the straight, and this series, one more time?

Racing on Sunday kicks after after 11am. Entry is FREE.
