2026 Sportsbet Emerald 2.0 – Race Conditions Released
This September marks the second running of the Sportsbet Emerald in 2026 following the event’s move as part of the calendar swap with the Healesville Cup.
The unique 300-metre event will again feature eight heats, with the eight fastest greyhounds across all heats progressing to the $25,000-to-the-winner final, regardless of finishing position.
Once again, a consolation final will also be conducted for the next eight fastest qualifiers, ensuring there’s something on the line for those that miss the final.
Heats will be run on Monday 7 September before the Sportsbet Emerald Final and Consolation Final take centre stage on Sunday 13 September.

The $10,000 to-the-winner Highway 31 Maiden series – the launching pad for G1 stars Idolize, Epitomize & Off The Chart – will again be staged in September, with heats slated for Sunday 6 September, and the final on Sunday 13 September.
Nominations close at 1:00pm on Thursday 3 September.
The Group 2 Sportsbet Healesville Cup final is set for April 4 2027, with the heats held a week prior.
