Greyhound Racing Victoria’s 2025 Dream Chasers Series kicks off with the Sportsbet Topgun Sprint and Topgun Stayers Invitational Races.

Watch the racing elite showcase their class ‘in form’ chasers at The Meadows on Saturday November 8. Topgun night offers first-class greyhound racing, with trackside fences, terraces and the grandstands full of fans and families DINING, CHEERING & PARTYING the night away.

2022 saw GRV launch the Dream Chasers Festival, a high octane five week racing series. Four years on, 2025 will again put the spot light on the world’s richest greyhound racing series run by GRV. Don’t miss the chance to witness a trifecta of top-line Group 1 Races and a brilliant night of entertainment.

FREE Top-flight entertainment for everyone

Experience the thrill of the first night of the 2025 Dream Chasers Festivals by joining us for the two Group 1 Sportsbet Topgun Invitationals & Group 1 Hume Cup Final. General Admission on the night is FREE, allowing everyone to walk in and revel in what will be a masterful night of world-class greyhound racing and entertainment.

The Local Club Shout

The Melbourne Greyhounds and Sportsbet have partnered to give local Clubs the chance win thousands of dollars for their Club, as well as be part of an invite only party on The Terrace.

Access to the 'Local Club Shout' requires Clubs to register their interest and commit a minimum of 10 guests to attend dressed in their Club colours. For attending Clubs will receive a cash donation plus a chance to win more funds in selected races in the big 'Cheer Home a Chaser' activation. Attendees will also get to enjoy FREE Roving Canapes and a free drink on arrival to get the party started. The Terrace (just near the winning post), topped with marquees, seating and bars will be the Clubroom for the night.

BOOK TOP-FLIGHT DINING

A history that's hard to top.

The Topgun, as the name suggests, is a search for the ‘top’ sprinters and stayers in the nation. An invitational race, dogs are selected by a panel of experts to see who reigns supreme. The first Topgun was run back in 1993 and has since seen champions El Grand Señor (2010), Buckle Up Wes (2014), Fernando Bale (2015), Up Hill Jill (2017), Shima Shine (2020) and Excavation (2024) salute in the 525m sprint.

The race was honoured as a Group 1 in 1999 and sees greyhounds race for a first prize of $150,000. Usually run in early November, this race lights up The Meadows crowd like no other race on the calendar. 2024 sees it again kick off the GRV Dream Chasers Series.
