The Melbourne Greyhounds can cater for groups of diners in our Temlee Dining Room wings on a Saturday Race Night. We offer set course dining and beverage packages – and can even gift you a race name to make the night all that little more fun and memorable.

The real beauty of deciding to attend a Saturday Race Night at the Melbourne Greyhounds is the flexibility in our food and beverage offer. You can simply choose to dine in our brilliant City View Bistro or at a indoor or outside table on the concourse level with food purchased from the Midas Cafe and Bar – or take it up a level and arrange a set course seated or cocktail Race Night Dining & Entertainment Package, served in your own private area.

Our grand Temlee Dining Room offers more than just our City View Bistro. A unique and inspiring room, it has a large main dining area that can hold up to 200 diners and a pair of east and west wings that can cater for smaller seated groups of up to 30 and 50 people respectively. (More for a cocktail style function). These wings allow guests to hold private functions on a Saturday Race Night and still enjoy sensational elevated track views, seated dining, tote and bar access. For those who’d prefer to be closer to the action, there’s ‘The Deck‘, the most sophisticated entertainment space we offer (read on below) as well as The Terrace.

Seated Dining Packages

Dine the night away in style. Choose from a simple 2-course meal to a three course culinary extravaganza and create a night to remember.

Cocktail Dining Packages

Enjoy moorish ‘walk & fork’ options in a room set up for a cocktail function. Choose from just Roving Canapes (includes six canapé dishes and a main plate), then add in Antipasto Platters and Dessert Boards to make it a more delectable occasion.

Beverage Dining Packages

Top-off your selected dining option with 4-hours of unlimited refreshments.

Whether you'd like to keep it simple with all the standard beverages (beer, wine, cider & non-alcoholic) or go that one step further and add in a range of spirits, either way, your guests will be suitably looked after with our selections.

If our grand Temlee dining room and either of its east and west wings aren’t exactly what you’re looking for, there are other spaces at the Melbourne Greyhounds to be entertained.

Introducing ‘The Deck’– the most sophisticated entertainment space we offer at The Meadows. As its name suggests (yep, the events and marketing team really went all out on this one), it comprises of a brilliant indoor space, with it’s own private bar, multiple audio-visual screens and bi-fold doors that open out and onto a wide timber boarded outside deck, located right next to the 525 meter start boxes. Architecturally sleek and modern, and with the ability to be heated or split system cooled it can be utilised in any season.

Oh, and did we mention it’s ideal for those seeking a party space that suits a stand-up cocktail function? A favourite with bucks, hens and work parties, this space is a great entertaining area for any social celebratory function or event. It’s also located in a prime position for race nights – right near the 525m starting boxes and amongst all the face paced action!

Host your own special event at The Meadows

When the MGRA are not racing, we’re conferencing and eventing. The Meadows is a unique multipurpose venue, ideal for all seasons and events. Offering an exceptional event management service, since opening our doors The MCEC has seen: Conferences, Training days, Memorials, Celebrations, Dinners, Launches, Meetings, Graduations, Weddings more grace the many rooms and areas located on the grounds.

Offering a plethora of indoor and outdoor spaces, in expansive and intimate formats, we’re definitely a venue that presents more options than you’d expect to see when compared to its twice weekly utilisation arrangement of hosting MGRA race meetings. And of course, any of our dining and beverage options you’ve looked at above can be used to complement your ideal event or occasion.
