Seafood lovers have the opportunity to indulge in Pan-fried Barramundi or Seafood Marinara. Those who prefer fare from off the land can tuck into a perfectly prepared 300g Yardstick Chargrilled Scotch Fillet Steak, a Hand Crumbed Chicken Schnitzel served with Fat Cut Chips and Slaw or zesty Thai Beef Salad. Chef Steve has also catered for vegetarians, with a delicious take on a Vegetable Stack and Spaghetti Fungi.

And let’s not forget, our City View Bistro dining experiences can also begin with a delicious entree. We suggest you try the Caprese Salad or the ‘City View’ Bruschetta. Then finish with a delectable dessert – City View Burger, Retro Banana Fritter or Ice Cream Nachos.

Reimagined Bistro Classics

Here at the Melbourne Greyhounds we're all about value for money, friendly service and reimagined bistro classics.

'Bistro classics done better' has inspired us to look at Australia's favourite dishes and reimagine them into something more tasty and appealing. This doesn't just revolve around main meals, but entrees and desserts too. Perfect examples are our Smoked Sticky Date Pudding and Japanese Karaage Chicken Salad. They are a far cry from what you'd expect from a greyhound racing club in Broadmeadows.

And yes, we still have some traditional bistro staples, but expect a 'City View' improvement with every mouthful.

At the Melbourne Greyhounds we remain focused on providing an affordable night out and offering a unique experience. There's no entry fee to the racetrack, and there's no need to pay for parking or even the night's racebook!

Here’s how you can join us in the City View Bistro for Saturday Race Night dining.

The City View Bistro is open for dinner only on Saturday Race Nights, starting from 5.30pm.

We recommend booking in advance as the bistro can be very popular, especially on feature Melbourne Greyhounds Race Nights.

Once you’ve reserved a table, it’s yours for the entire race night! You may come and go from your table as you please, with access to our on-course bookmaker, concourse and the parade yard only a short walk away.

This makes the bistro a wonderful option for a special occasion like a milestone birthday, Father’s/Mother’s Day, a familial gathering or a more intimate dining experience for couples.

The Temlee Dining Room offers tables with amazing views of the track where you can sit atop of all the action while taking in the city skyline view.

Reservations can be made by using our online table reservation system, if you have any further questions you can also call our friendly staff on 03 9355 5222 during standard business hours for bookings.

In our online booking system, you’ll see two seating options: Temlee Dining Room (Main) and Temlee Dining Room (Lower Terrace).

> Lower Terrace tables are limited, smaller in size, and seat 2 to 4 diners only.
> Main Room tables can accommodate larger bookings to suit your needs.
