It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of former MGRA Director and life member, Max Scott, recently at the age of 82.

A third-generation greyhound trainer, Max held a multitude of roles throughout the industry including trainer, owner, breeder, administrator and studmaster.

Serving as an MGRA director from 1993 until 2005, Max played a vital role in the move from Olympic Park to the Broadmeadows location that houses the Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association to this day.

Max was also instrumental in the introduction of the GOBIS scheme and was known as a passionate advocate for participants of the sport.

MGRA life membership was awarded to Max following years of dedication to the industry.
