As if Topgun night wasn’t looking exciting enough, those on course will have the chance to go home $10,000 richer.

Thanks to Sportsbet, 8 lucky patrons will get the chance to ‘Lift a Lid’ and win up to $10,000 in cold hard cash in the ‘Lift the Lids Cash Giveaway’. Entry into the competition is FREE, with those on track just needing to register to be in the draw which will be run and won on Saturday night November 9.

HOW IT WORKS
Once entries close at the start of Race 5 (8.02pm), 8 lucky people will be randomly drawn. Each of these 8 will be allocated a runners bid, corresponding to a runners rug in Race 9. The runner that wins that race will see the matching bib wearer offered a chance to ‘Lift a Lid’ on one of the 8 boxes.

Each box will have a cash prize behind it as follows:

3 boxes will have $2,500

Another 3 boxes will ahve $5000

1 box will have $7,500

and one will have a massive $10,000
