Star chasers Canya Mayhem and Without A Trace have both landed favourable draws for their respective Group 1 assignments at The Meadows on Saturday night.

Sportsbet Melbourne Cup winner Canya Mayhem will jump from box one in the Group 1 Sportsbet Temlee (525m), a major boost as he looks to continue his winning ways.

Meanwhile, staying star Without A Trace has drawn box two in the Group 1 Sportsbet Zoom Top (730m), putting her in a strong position for another big performance over the longer trip.

Saturday night marks the opening of the Sportsbet Australian Cup Carnival, with eight heats of the Sportsbet Australian Cup to be run. The top three finishers from each heat will progress through to the semi-finals the following week.
