Finally, here’s that event you and your girlfriends have all been looking for.

Get a table together and join us on Saturday Night May 16 in our grand Temlee Dining Room for the Melbourne Greyhounds Girl’s Night Out at The Meadows.

Now in its third year, this special event has grown to become one of our most popular race nights. Last year we were just shy of 200 guests, and we expect to be at capacity again this year – so don’t wait, gather your group together and make the booking now!

It is the perfect event to get all your besties together and have an affordable night out, whilst supporting a wonderful organisation in the process as again we will be raising money for Look Good Feel Better.

Fabulous Fun & Activations

The fun and games are back! We are thrilled to announce that will again hosting a pop-up wine tasting area (with seafood pairings) on the night. This is a great opportunity to try a delicious selection of Oyster Bay and Barossa Valley Estate wines without cellar door pressure to buy or needing to pay a tasting fee. All wines available for tasting will be available to purchase from The Bar on the night at special prices.

There will also be a Photo Booth for you to capture a memory, Tarot Readers to look into what your future holds and relaxing shoulder massages to keep you feeling like you're on cloud nine all night long.

Music & Entertainment

What's the point of a 'Girl's Night Out' if there's no music to dance and sing along too? To make sure that box is ticked, we've got a great duo booked who know all the classics when the time comes to 'Shake a Groove Thing' and 'Get this Party Started'.

Glorious Food & Beverages

If you're one of the lucky ones to have been to a function or a Race Night at The Meadows and dined in our Temlee Dining Room, you'll know when we say we'll be serving a delicious meal, that we're not telling 'porkie pies'.

Amongst all the FREE activities and world-class greyhound racing, you'll also get to enjoy a fine dining experience. Guests will be served Shared Grazing Platters for entree, a delicious main meal and a specialty dessert. Plus, there's a complimentary beverage on arrival to get thing started and the chance to sip on cocktails, prepared by our expert bar staff, should you wish.

Additional beverages can be purchased from the bar - with glasses of exquisite Oyster Bay and Barossa Valley Estate wines at reduced prices.

Bonanza Raffle & Door Prize

What would a night like this be without a chance to go home a big winner in a raffle. Our 'Girl's Night Out Bonanza Raffle' will be raising funds for Look Good Feel Better, with all ticket sales being donated to this great organisation.

There will be a table full of prizes, where each drawn winner can choose what they like. We'll keep drawing tickets until all the prizes are gone - giving everyone multiple chance to take home a prize.

MYSTERY DOOR PRIZE: One lucky guest on the night will leave The Meadows with a special prize. We'll be announcing this soon, but you can be sure it's most likely to be along the lines of last year's awesome prize – a Nights Accommodation with dinner at the Novotel in Preston, valued at over $300.

Help us 'Face Cancer with Confidence'

This year's 'Girl's Night Out at The Meadows' Bonanza Raffle will see all proceeds donated too 'Look Good Feel Better', a free, national community service program, run by the Cancer Patients Foundation. The program has been designed to help cancer patients learn practical strategies to manage the physical, psychological and social impacts of cancer treatments.

The Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association is a proud partner of this service - we donate our venue free of charge for consultations and sessions for this service. In support of 'Look Good Feel Better', we are welcoming donations to the raffle in the hope to raise as much money as possible. If you'd like to donate a prize (be it a service or item) please contact us. We'd be most grateful for your support and would be happy to promote your donation to guests attending on the night should it be from a business.
