3AW Melbourne – Loud and proud

Did you just hear about us on 3AW?

Thanks for heading along to our website to find out more about the Melbourne Greyhounds and attending a Wednesday or Saturday Night race night at The Meadows. Feel free to look around to learn about what we offer and how to attend our race meetings.

Big city Saturday night metropolitan greyhound racing here in Melbourne
There’s nothing quite like a night at the Melbourne Greyhounds to take in world-class greyhound racing action. Entry to the track is FREE and you can either choose to come and cheer amongst the patrons on the outdoor concourse and in our ground floor Midas Room Cafe and Bar or make it a special visit by deciding to dine upstairs in our level one Temlee Dining Room, home of the Northern suburbs dining best kept secret (until now) the CityView Bistro. (Bookings are essential). Either way it’ll be a memorable experience and night out.

Across the year Saturday Race Nights sees our venue open at 5pm (with Meadows Drink Specials running from 5pm to 7pm) and the first race kicking-off around 6:30pm. A standard night revolves around a twelve race card, offering plenty of opportunities to see the stars light up the track, with the last race being completed at approximately 10:30pm. There are on-course totes should you wish to place a bet, as well as plenty of free parking on the grounds. Should you prefer to arrive and leave via a ride share all services are happy to drop and pick you up from the main reception area.

Across the year the Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association run a number of big feature race meets. These meets often provide extra entertainment and are focussed around Group 1 race meets. Please see the Events Calendar section for race dates and upcoming feature races.
