Don’t miss our last ‘Family Night’ for 2023 and bucket loads of  FREE stuff and family fun entertainment.

There’s no better place to get a taste of summer than here at the Melbourne Greyhounds. Saturday December 9th, is second of three FREE ‘Family Nights at the Meadows’ that fill our late spring and summer calendar. (The third Family Night will be held in mid February next year. Be sure to sign up to our newsletter to be kept up-to-date on when it will land).

For those who’ve never attended one of family race nights, you’re in for a super surprise. Our last family night, held on Melbourne Cup Eve, saw over 1000 people and hundreds of young families enjoying beautiful weather, FREE carnival food and loads of FREE entertainment (as well as some fantastic greyhound racing). We also gave away over 250 kids showboats and $3000 in prizes.

Our December 9 event will again hold a number of awesome activations and offer plenty of FREE give-aways. Always a moving feast of entertainment options, there will no doubt be a few extra additional surprises on the night, but here’s the list of FREE activities and food children (and parents) will get to enjoy as we spring into summer:

• Bounce around on three massive Inflatable Jumping Castles (each set aside for different age groups)
• Get your Face Painted
• Be amazed by our Magic Show
• Much on some FREE Carnival Foods (Fairy Floss, Popcorn Cups and Snow Cones)
• FREE entry into our $3000 on-course Family Prize Draw
• Take home a free ‘I Love the Dogs’ Showbags (to the first 200 kids)
• Cuddle and pat a GAP Dog
• Grab a bite to eat from the concourse Coffee Van &  Burger Truck
• Get a phot wth Santa

There will be plenty of great dinner options (notably food trucks and coffee vans) to purchase a meal or beverage. While our concourse level Midas Room Cafe & Bar will also open for delicious food and drink purchases (They’ll be plenty of icy-cold drinks for the mums and dads available at the bars).

Entry to our Super Summer Family Night is FREE. No ticket purchasing is required, unless you would like to dine in our City View Bistro* which does require a reservation. Table bookings are available online.
